2. On 14th Aug this year , Pakistan celebrated their Independence day ; it conferred to Sitare -e-Imitaz to 17 foreign nationals including an Indian. Who received it ?


Parliamentarian Nirmala Deshpande , a passionate advocate for India Pakistan relationships received the award posthumously.

These are mobile boat clinics started in the remote islands of the Brahmaputra , which provides health-care facilities to people in these remote areas. They were started by an NGO , C-NES ( Centre of North East Studies and Policy Research ) and entered into a Private-Public partnership with NHRM ( National Rural Health Mission ) . Japan had surrendered to the Allies after almost six years of war On This Day 15th August 1945.

On This Day 15th August 1945 Allied nations celebrate VJ Day.

There is joy and celebration around the world and 15 August has been declared Victory in Japan day.
